About Jessica Long

Jessica Long is a clinical psychologist practicing in Kennewick, Washington, with over 10 years of clinical experience working with youth, adults, and families.  Originally from the east coast, Jessica received a B.A. in Psychology from Sacred Heart University of Fairfield, CT in 1999. After several years working in child protective services, she entered the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Hartford, from which she earned her M.A. (2004) and Psy.D. (2011). Her predoctoral internship was completed at Devereux Massachusetts, a residential treatment center serving emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youth and their families. While at Devereux, she received specialized training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), a treatment modality particularly effective in addressing severe emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and harmful behaviors such as self-injury. Other clinical experiences include adult psychiatric inpatient, children and adolescent outpatient and day school, elder liasion/counseling services, and adult/youth crisis management.  She opened her private practice in Kennewick, WA in 2012.

Dr. Long's current services include individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological assessment. Dr. Long provides strength-based services with interventions primarily associated with cognitive-behavioral and behavioral approaches, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
